What is the Wyoming Driver’s License Application Form?
Form FSDL-705, Wyoming Driver License Application, or the Wyoming Driver’s License Application form, is a form used to apply for a driver’s license in the state of Wyoming. It asks for identifying information such as home address, social security number, and other relevant details.
In the United States, driver’s licenses are issued by each individual state. Drivers are required to obtain a license from their state of residence, and will generally need to apply for a new license when moving (whether permanently or not) to another state. - Class A, for both Cars and Motorcycles
Similarly, there are different kinds of driver’s licenses for commercial drivers, or people who drive as part of their business or to make a living. These types include the following:
- Class C CDL, for taxi cabs and smaller delivery vehicles like small cars and motorcycles.
- Class B CDL, for tow trucks, school buses, and dump trucks.
- Class A CDL, which allows the holder to drive vehicles such as tractor trailers and 18-wheelers.
Driver’s licenses expire and require renewal after a certain number of years, which can depend on the state. In the state of Wyoming, Class C driver’s licenses are valid for four years after their issued date. When a driver’s license expires in Wyoming, there is a time period of one month before a person is no longer allowed to renew their license by mail.
In the state of Wyoming, driving without having been issued a license in the past is classified as a misdemeanor, and will merit a fine of $150, with repeat offenses resulting in a suspension from being able to apply for a license. Driving without a license in your possession will also result in being guilty of a misdemeanor and a fine of $150, but this fine can be waived if the driver presents a then-valid driver’s license to law enforcement or to the court.
Who needs to use the Wyoming Driver’s License Application Form?
Driving within the state of Wyoming as a resident requires that a person visit the nearest driver exam station in Wyoming and fill out the FSDL-705 in order to obtain a Wyoming Driver’s License.
- New Drivers, or people applying for a driver’s license for the first time, will need to fill out this form in order to be issued their first driver’s license and be allowed to drive within the state.
- New Residents. People who moved to Wyoming and established a permanent residence there or are otherwise living in the state for an extended period of time will need to apply for a Wyoming driver’s license. Active-duty military officers need not apply for a Wyoming driver’s license, but are subject to the same requirements should they choose to apply. In addition, active-duty military officers may have the expiration date of their license waived as long as they present a valid active-duty military ID card during the process of applying for their driver’s license, at which point the license’s expiration date will be waived for as long as it is accompanied by active-duty orders or an active-duty military ID.

Tips when filling out the Wyoming Driver’s License Application Form
